Artees / Four-week owner training
Artees Sweets
Four-week owner training
Artees Sweets provides 28 days of training for the franchise owner. The purpose is to prepare the owner to produce the products, protect the standard and lead the store using the Artees system.
No chef background is required to begin
The production approach uses complete formulations, documented methods and defined procedures. Training is intended to teach a committed owner how to follow that system. It still requires learning, practice and satisfactory performance; the absence of a chef requirement does not remove the need for competence.
What training covers
- Production: preparing products using the approved formulations and production methods.
- Quality control: checking the work and recognising results that do not meet the standard.
- Food safety: carrying out the required handling and operating practices.
- Service and store management: organising the work and managing day-to-day operations.
The linked four-week overview explains the programme in more detail. It is a supporting document, separate from this overview page.

Certification comes before opening
The owner must pass the required opening certification before the store can open. Completing the scheduled training period should not be confused with automatic certification.
Prospective owners should discuss the training arrangements, assessment and opening requirements with Artees as part of the franchise process.
Training the store team
Artees trains the owner; the owner trains the employees. Employees learn their assigned tasks while complete formulations and restricted owner-only procedures remain with the owner.
After training, the owner’s daily involvement provides supervision and accountability. The operating model does not rely on a hired chef or a hired manager taking over the owner’s role.
Evaluate the products separately
Product evaluation and owner training serve different purposes. The three-session evaluation allows a prospective owner and their group to assess the sweets. Participants do not take part in production during evaluation. Training prepares an accepted owner to operate the system.
