Artees Sweets
An owner-operated sweets franchise
Every Artees Sweets store must be run by its franchise owner. The model is designed for someone who wants to learn the production system, work in the business and take responsibility for its results.
What active ownership means
The owner must be present during daily production and peak hours, lead the team and remain accountable for quality and operations. This commitment is not compatible with another full-time job or handing the business to a hired manager.
The opportunity therefore starts with a practical question: are you willing and able to run the store yourself? Interest in owning a food business is different from readiness to make its products, supervise its work and deal with customers every day.
Learn the system before opening
Artees Sweets provides 28 days of owner training covering production, quality control, food safety, service and store management. The owner must pass the required opening certification before the store can open. No chef background is required to begin training.

The owner trains the employees
Artees trains and certifies the owner. The owner then trains the employees in their assigned work. The owner receives the complete formulations and operating procedures, including owner-only procedures. Employees learn their tasks without receiving the complete formulations or restricted production knowledge.
This division of responsibility places the person who owns the business at the center of production, training and supervision.
Plan for temporary absence
Temporary absence requires Artees Sweets’ approval and should be planned in advance. Artees supports approved absences so the store can continue serving customers to the required standard. The full conditions should be reviewed with Artees before making a franchise commitment.
Active ownership does not guarantee profitability. The suitability of the location, demand, costs and the quality of day-to-day execution still matter.
Decide whether the model fits you
- Can you commit to daily work in the store?
- Are you prepared to train, practise and pass certification?
- Will you follow defined procedures and supervise the team?
- Have you reviewed the risks and the financial commitment with your advisors?
